Pre-production for the fourth album begins in June · March 4th, 2010

We have continued the steady march towards what will eventually become the fourth Daylight Dies album and are planning to begin pre-production in North Carolina in June. This means piecing together all the fragments of material we’ve exchanged amongst ourselves and refining them into polished demos which will aid in recording the album.

Since we now live in various areas of the country (North Carolina, California and New York), we felt it was especially important to hone the music together prior to the final recording.

While a vague personality of the album has begun to take shape, there is still much more to write.

Excited to hear the new stuff. I’ve been waiting for awhile. Do you have plans for another tour? I feel like it’s been too long since I’ve seen you guys and I missed the Rochester, NY show. Hails.

We’ll almost certainly tour after the release of this album. The timeframe is still unknown, but probably early 2011.

I am the most great fan of all over the world of Daylight Dies since the first release. Now Nathan, Jesse, Barre, Charley and Egan are all of you are in my heart, all of you go everywhere with me because your music is definetely a religion to me. Long live Daylight Dies! The fourth will be a new era, no doubt about it. Peace and love from Peru.

Here is a video that i did for the master piece “All We Had”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWfeR6aA7I0

After almost leaving metal completely for electronic music I found your band this year and I am hooked back in. You are definitely one of the best metal bands to come out of the USA. The smooth mix of hardcore and slower melancholic sounds are refreshing, it’s definitely a good balance. Even your slower songs don’t sound like prog metal cheese which I like. You definitely capture a dark sad sound very well. Look forward to the new material and hope to see you in Chicago in some capacity. Best of luck.

I just want to start out by saying I enjoy all your music , especially the 2nd album one of my “Alltime favorite” Metal albums ( And I’ve been into metal for 33 yrs ) So needless to say I’m psyched for a new album, hope to see you on the next tour here in New York.

Can’t wait for the new album, too. Will there ever be gigs in germany? I couldn’t find out that much in the past.

You are one of very few inspiring bands to me. Music nowadays is getting more and more shallow and unfeeling. No matter wether it’s metal or pop. Music shouldn’t be a product for one-time usage, the value is diminished on and on.

This brought me to look at the music more exactly and to study lots of bands, music history and theory. Listening to a very selected range of more in depth sounds and lyrics is – in my opinion – the only way to recognise the sense of what music is meant to be. As a musician I had to find out, that creating music that touches so many people isn’t just a job, it’s an honor.

Keep on the good work!

your music took my heart at the first listen. I’m not an old fan but by this time (about 2 years of listening) I can say that you are my favourite metal band of all times. can’t wait for the new masterpiece and I hope that there will be at least one instrumental song because you know how to do it:)
all the best!
